Hi! I’m Mara
8+ years of experience / Digital branding / UX/UI-design / Design systems
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved creating things. I did a lot of arts and crafts growing up and as soon as my teenage years rolled around, I totally fell in love with writing. My love for words even led me to study Dutch Language and Linguistics!
When I entered the job market, I found out that design was was the only thing that I could do four hours on end without ever getting bored. I switched careers and have never looked back since!
What’s cool is that language and design really aren’t all that different: both are ways to get messages across — to tell a story.
UX/UI-design has been my career since 2018, but I also developed my vector illustration skills since falling in love with Adobe Illustrator. I even sell my art prints and greeting cards on my own webshop!
Now that I started my own studio, I get to blend my passions for language, illustrations and UX/UI-design by turning brand stories into compelling digital experiences. If you’ve got a story to tell, then let’s have a chat!
